The General Data Protection Regulation is enforced on 25th May 2018, to unify all EU member states' approaches to data regulation, ensuring all data protection laws are applied identically in every country within the EU. It will protect EU citizens from organisations using their data irresponsibly and puts them in charge of what information is shared, where and how it's shared.
It has been made clear that Brexit will not impact on GDPR.
This Privacy Notice includes all volunteers, customers and any other associate of Clive Motorcycle Club (CMCC).

How the information is processed
We collect information during registration as a volunteer, registration of events and through general correspondence. We are able to process your information if:
  • It is to fulfil a contract
  • You have consented for us to do so
  • It fulfils a legal obligation
  • It satisfies vital interest
  • It satisfies public interest
  • It fulfils our legitimate interests

CMC hold the following information on those who participate in some events:

Where information is stored
Your information is stored electronically and is kept with strictest confidence. Access to your information is monitored and only those with necessary need for access to your information may do so.
We add certain pieces of information in relation to winners of the Welsh National Rally. For this reason, we will obtain your explicit consent.

Sharing your information
Your information will not be shared with third parties unless strictly necessary. We will only share your information if it is in your vital interest, for example with medical professional in the event of an emergency

Your rights under GDPR
The GDPR provides the following rights to all individuals:

  2. The right of access to any data we hold on you
  3. The right to rectification of the data we hold on you
  4. The right to erasure of any data we hold on you (unless we have lawful reasons to process it)

Data Retention
We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. 

Welsh National Rally
When we hold your information as a participant of the Welsh National Rally, we require your explicit consent to store your information.
We will only use this information to contact you with information of the Welsh National Rally annually.
If you have provided your consent to the collection, processing and transfer of your personal information for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Once confirmed, we will no longer process your information for the purpose you originally agreed to, unless we have another legitimate basis for doing so in law.

Accessing your data
If you wish to be informed of exactly what data we hold on you, please contact the Clivemcc Web Admin on webadmin@clivemcc.co.uk.
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information. However, if we think that your request is unfounded or excessive, we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to comply with the request.
We may need to confirm your identity or ensure your right to exercise your legal rights. This is another appropriate security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.

Changes to this privacy notice
We reserve the right to update this privacy notice at any time, and we will provide you with a new privacy notice when we make substantial updates. We may also notify you in other ways from time to time about the processing of your personal information.
